When AAI told us there is an urgent need for families for African-American babies, we decided we wanted to pursue transracial infant adoption. We shared our desire, and the AAI staff discussed the many social dimensions involved, asking many questions to ensure they were matching children with the correct families.
Today, Adoption Associates continues to educate through seminars and meetings. The agency remains a valuable resource even after our adoption of two African-American children.
